Leaving Cert 2017 – September

TEENAGERS September 8, 2016

I've been working with a number of Leaving Cert students this week (LC 2017) and its great to see that they are already getting organised for the year ahead. I'm often asked for tips and advice on how to get through the year and achieve their potential in terms of points.   The most important thing is to start now, and start slowly. This means getting into the habit of studying now. Effective study, like everything; takes practice.   It is also vital that you think about how you are studying and identify what is working for you and what is not. Then stop doing whats not working and do more of what is - sounds obvious I know!   These are the two most important things that you can do in September.   Download link for students - Effective Study habits (it's University based but the info and concepts also apply to Leaving Cert)   Link for parents - "Learning to Learn" - Understand how to help your Leaving Cert student get the most out of this academic year and get to where they want to go.   Link students and parents - Understanding the new points and grading system introduced for Leaving Cert 2017   Ronan
