In Dublin Sat. 19 May and in Cork Sat. 26 May – Helping children with difficulties at school
Public Talk & Open Morning at Cluas in Dublin and Cork:
Children with learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Attention Difficulties or Speech and Language difficulties learn to cope with their environment, they learn to adapt and deal with their struggles as best they can. When conditions change – when they move from one class-room to another, when they get a new teacher, or enter a new school or maybe only change their customary place in the class-room – they have to relearn the skills they have been depending on, to cope with their new situation.
These transitions for children, who are faced with challenges, can be made easier. Children who have Auditory Processing difficulties may not cope well during these important transitions. However, these children can flourish – despite the changes in their school life – by improving their Auditory Processing abilities.
At Cluas we have worked with a significant number of children who have benefited from our programs – allowing them to fulfill their potential to learn and progress at school.
Auditory processing difficulties can also be a significant contributing factor to the difficulties of children with speech and language delays, with dyslexia, dyspraxia and Aspergers syndrome and with other children on the autistic spectrum.
Cluas is continuing its series of talks in May 2012:
